Project Role: preliminary strategic planning and oral history curriculum design

Rachel Cotterman lives in North Carolina where she creates collaborative multimedia work, teaches yoga and meditation, and supports grassroots movements for well-being and justice. Rachel is a former staff member at stone circles at The Stone House, a social change training and retreat center on 70 acres of land, and she is honored to continue to support the powerful work of this organization as a digital communications consultant. While a student in the Comparative American Studies Department of Oberlin College, Rachel founded a youth photography and media literacy program, Oberlin Street Photographers. Rachel joined the Digital Portobelo project team in May 2012 and traveled to Portobelo with the team to begin laying the groundwork for the community-based intergenerational oral history project, engage in strategic planning, and to familiarize herself with the community.
